AIRPORT INFORMATION
Santiago International Airport Comodoro Arturo Merino Benitez, also known as Pudahuel, is the center of all national and international flights. It is located 20 kilometers from downtown Santiago and is the nerve center of the country as far as international air transport is concerned receiving flights from around the world.
It has a 24 hours private taxi service, and bus service. The approximate cost of a taxi ride from the airport to the east sector of the city is US$ 36.
CURRENCY
The currency is the Chilean peso (Ch$). Equivalence with the US dollar / euro should be figured out according to your travel date. Exchange can be made freely at banks and exchange offices. No special documents except passport or ID are required. For your convenience the airport provides this type of service. It is issued in denominations of Ch$ 1,000, Ch$ 2,000, Ch$ 5,000, Ch$ 10,000 and Ch$ 20,000 and coins of Ch $ 5, Ch$ 10, Ch $ 50, Ch$ 100 and Ch$ 500.
